Bullock DUTIES OF POSITION #364 ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- RECOMMENDATION Study the duties of Position #364. REASON FOR RECOMMENDATIONZBACKGROUND Position #364 is a Supervising Clerk position that was assigned to the Training Division on April 4, 1988. Since then, the employee has served as the Department's Systems and Clerical trainer. On April 1, 1989, the employee completed a Classifi- cation Questionnaire (copy attached) requesting that her position be assessed for possible reclassification to Social Service Program Analyst. On July 25, 1989, the employee filed a. grievance (copy attached) stating that she was working out of classification as a Social Service Program Analyst, but that she was not receiving pay for doing work in a higher classification. To resolve the grievance, the Department has agreed to appoint the employee as an acting Social Service Program Analyst effective July 25, 1989. FINANCIAL IMPACT $3713 - Monthly salary of Social Service Program Analyst at the 2nd step(includes 25% department average fringe benefits) $3130 - Monthly salary of Supervising Clerk at the 7th step (includes 25% department average fringe benefits) $ 583 - Difference in monthly cost $6263 - Cost increase for the period from 8-8-89 through 6-30-90 $3758 - Less Federal (50%) and State (10%) funding $2505 - Net County cost from 8-8-89 through 6-30-90.
