THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on _February 27 , 1990_, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson, Fanden
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Removal of Certain Property from the Public Tax Sale
Supervisor Powers brought to the attention of the Board a
letter dated February 27 , 1990 from Joseph J. Gross, Executive
Director, Neighborhood House of North Richmond, 305 Chesley Avenue,
Richmond, California 94801 , requesting that the following parcels
be removed from the February 28 , 1990 default sale and allow
Neighborhood House reasonable time to purchase the parcels to build
low and moderate income housing in the North Richmond area:
Item 12 - Parcel No. 534072020;
Item 14 - Parcel No. 534212006;
Item 29 - Parcel No. 561162020 ;
Item 50 - Parcel No. 409032019 ; and
Item 53 - Parcel No. 409131010 .
Noting that the request had been received after the agenda had
been printed and posted and commenting on the need to take action
on this matter today, Supervisor Powers recommended that the Board
remove the above referenced parcels from the public tax sale until
the next scheduled public auction, in order to allow the
Neighborhood House of North Richmond and the Greater Richmond
Interfaith Program an opportunity to bid on the parcels.
Board members being in agreement, IT IS ORDERED that the
recommendation of Supervisor Powers is APPROVED.
I hereby certify that this Is a true and correct copy of
an action taken and entered on the minutes of the
Board of Supervisors on the date shown.

to build low and moderate income housing in North Richmond,
we ask the County to withhold these properties from the
February 28, 1990 default sale and allow Neighborhood House
of North Richmond reasonable time to purchase these pro-
perties for said objectives.
