MICHAEL WALFORD, CHIEF ENGINEER DATE: February 27, 1990 SUBJECT: APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 6 For The Drainage Area 56, Line Z Project No. 7566-6D8443-87 in the Oakley Area. Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 6 and AUTHORIZE the Chief Engineer to execute Contract Change Order No. 6 in the Approximate Amount of $350 to compensate the contractor, Holman D. Pettibone, Inc. For Increases in Contract work. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The project is funded by Drainage Area 56, Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: This is a Balancing Contract Change Order to compensate the contractor for quantities actually installed. Change Order No. 6 and previously Approved Change Orders collectively exceed $25, 000. 00, which Requires Board Approval . CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The Lack of Approval would preclude Payment for work required to complete this project.
