on the Occasion of his Retirement ) Resolution No. 90/97 .

With the City of Martinez )
WHEREAS, Sergeant Richard "Dick" Bennett retired on December
30, 1989 after more than twenty-eight years service as a.
Police Officer and Sergeant for the City of Martinez; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant "Dick" Bennett during his tenure has
received over twenty-five commendations from both his fellow
officers and citizens; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant "Dick" Bennett has served the Martinez
Police Department well, serving in all divisions within the
Department; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant "Dick" Bennett successfully completed the
Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy in 1982;
and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Bennett will be sorely missed by both the
residents and officers of the Martinez Police Department.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Contra Costa, California, hereby
CONGRATULATES Sergeant Richard Bennett on the occasion of
his retirement, COMMENDS his professionalism, EXTENDS to
Richard its best wishes for a very pleasant and well-earned
retirement and TRULY REGRETS that such a knowledgeable and
dedicated officer is leaving the Department.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE BOARD ON FEBRUARY 13, 1990.
