HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02131990 - 1.15 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter Commending ) Resolution No. 90/ 101 .Juanita LaBeaux-Easton For ) Her Professional and Civic ) Accomplishments Upon the ) Occasion of Her Retirement ) WHEREAS, Juanita LaBeaux-Easton has contributed greatly to the care, well-being, and betterment of the citizens of West Contra Costa County while employed as a Field Representative for California State Senator Dan Boatwright and former Senator John Nejedly; and WHEREAS, Juanita's concern for the welfare of youth is displayed by her active participation in PTA (as a honorary life member) , her leadership in summer youth programs, service on the Board of Directors for the YMCA, and offices held in the Boys and Girls Clubs of the area; . and WHEREAS, her many contributions to the advancement of women and people of color are evident through her work as a life member of the Richmond Branch of the NAACP and the Bay Valley Business and Professional Women associations; and WHEREAS, Juanita's commitment and interests reflect her deep love of community; and WHEREAS, she is held in the highest esteem by her colleagues and fellow citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors commends Juanita LaBeaux-Easton for devoting her outstanding career to serving the citizens of Contra Costa County, particularly those in West Contra Costa; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors wishes Juanita much happiness and good health throughout her retirement years.
