MICHAEL WALFORD, CHIEF ENGINEER DATE: February 13, 1990 SUBJECT: APPROVE Contract Change Order Number 7 for the Drainage Area 56 Lindsey Basin Project, No. 7566-6D8462-86 in the Oakley Area. Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background &Justification RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 7 and AUTHORIZE the Chief Engineer to execute it in the approximate amount of $2,000.00 to compensate the contractor Oliver DeSilva, Inc. for Increases in contract work.. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The project is funded by Drainage Area 56 of the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: Steel Blocking, required in the metal beam guard rail, was omitted from the original design. The cumulative total of this and previous contract change order exceeds $25,000.00 and requires Board Approval. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The lack of APPROVAL would preclude payment for work required to complete this project.
