III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The non-county maintained portions of Kellogg and Brushy Creeks has become overgrown.
Residents in this predominately farming area have requested assistance in cleaning the creek.
The Sheriff's Inmate Work Crew assigned to the Public Works Department is capable and
equipped to perform this type of work. It is recommended that the $10,000 expenditure be
made to alleviate some of the flooding that will occur along these creeks from normal winter
storm water runoff.
