SUBJECT: Approval of Standard Agreement for County Health Services
Medically Indigent Care Reporting System (MICRS) with the
State Department of Health Services .
SPECIFIC REOUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
1 . RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director to execute
and. submit on behalf of the County, Standard Agreement for
County Health Services Medically Indigent Care Reporting
System (MICRS) with the State Department of Health Services
in the amount of $ 178,954 for the period June 15, 1990
through June 130, 1991 .
2. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Approval for ,Ithis agreement by the State will result in
$178,954 of State allocated funds for County Health Services .
3 . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND•
Funds providedpursuant to this Agreement are for the support of the
costs of developing and implementing the Medically Indigent Care
Reporting System. The County will use MICRS for the submission of
State mandated expenditure and utilization data to the State
Department of Health Services pursuant to subdivisions (a) and (b)
of Section 16915 of the W & I Code, (California Healthcare for
Indigents Program services funded by Tobacco Tax Revenues) .
