SUBJECT: TERMINATION AGREEMENT - 2020 N. BROADWAY, SUITE 207A,
WALNUT CREEK
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDATION
DETERMINE, on behalf of the County, that the lease, dated
February 23, 1989, with Terry Clawson dba Shield Bookkeeping
Services, for the premises at 2020 N. Broadway, Suite 207A,
Walnut Creek, is terminated due to Lessee' s death. AUTHORIZE
the Office of Revenue Collection to release the security
deposit of $700. 00 to Lessee' s estate.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT
Budgeted -rent payments of $793 . 00 per month will not be
received by the General Services Department.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND
The deceased was the sole owner of her business, which is now
defunct.
