SUBJECT: General Plan Amendment Request for Wallace Santos
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
Authorize a General Plan review as requested by Wallace Santos for
an approximately seven acre area located west of Cherry Lane
(north) in the Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill area.
In authorizing a review, staff will proceed with a report which
will then be scheduled for public hearing before the County
Planning Commission. Following this, the Commission would forward- --
its recommendation . to the Board for a final determination after,= `:-
public hearing.
FISCAL IMPACT
A General Plan Amendment fee will be paid to cover the cost of
processing the amendment request
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
Mr. Wallace Santos has requested a General Plan Amendment on an
approximately seven acre site in the Walnut Creek sphere of
influence but next to the. Pleasant Hill BARDT Station area. The
requested change is from Single Family Residential Low Density to

Multiple Family Residential High Density. The request covers the
Santos, Wilson, and Boehme properties which combine to slightly
over seven acres. In considering this request, staff may wish to
enlarge the area of consideration to include the lands east of
Cherry Lane.
All the properties to the west are approved and being constructed
within the Multiple Family Residential High Density range.
