DATE: October 26, 1989 Nor Cour
SUBJECT: Health Services Revolving Fund
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve actions jointly recommended by the Health Services Director
and Internal Audit to: (A) Decrease the Discovery House I checking account
balance from $4,600 to $3,000 and (B) Increase the Health Services revolving
fund from $11,250 to $15,250.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No financial impact is associated with the action.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION AND BACKGROUND:
(A) Decrease the Discovery House I checking account balance: Building
rental payments are currently made to the landlord directly from
Accounts Payable. That portion of the checking account balance
previously needed by Discovery House I for the rental payment
($1,600) is no longer required.
(B) Increase in the Health Services revolving fund: The purpose of the
revolving fund is to replenish several small checking accounts located
at various Health Services sites. During the past twelve months the
Board has authorized the establishment of two additional checking
accounts and the Department has experienced an increase in the
frequency in which all of the checking accounts need to be replenished.
Additional funds are therefore necessary to maintain the revolving
fund balance at a level sufficient to replenish the existing checking
accounts.
