SUBJECT: AMENDMENT TO LEASE FOR SOCIAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT �� ��1
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECONVIENDATION
AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE, on
behalf of the County, an amendment to the lease with Buchanan
Oaks Partners for the premises at 2401 Stanwell Drive, Concord
under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in
said amendment.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT
Payments required are to come from the budget of the Social
Service Department.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND Provides for an
extension of the lease term in order to provide time for the
County to obtain replacement space which will consolidate and
locate Social Service administrative functions in a more
central site. As consideration for the lease extension, the
amendment eliminates certain purchase and expansion rights of
the County as requested by the lessor.
