HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10171989 - 2.2 v THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on October 17 , 1989 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None In the Matter of Special Compensation Resolution No. 89/69 4 Adjustment for Planners The County Administrator has recommended that salaries for professional planning staff in the Community Development Department be adjusted to align more closely with prevailing local market levels; therefore, THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLVES THAT: 1. Effective October 1, 1989 the following Planner and related classifications are allocated to salary schedule/levels as indicated: Class Salary Schedule/Level Principal Planner (SAHC) TJ-1884 ($3466 - $4778) Planner III (SATA) C5-1884 ($2988 - $3632) Housing and Community Development Planner (SRSM) C5-1884 ($2988 - $3632) Resource Recovery Specialist (SASA) C5-1713 ($2519 - $3061) Planner II (SAVA) C5-1679 ($2434 - $2959) Planner II (Project) (5AV1) C5-1679 ($2434 - $2959) Planning Technician Specialist (51SA) C5-1884 ($2988 - $3632) Planning Technician (51TA) C5-1737 ($2580 - $3136) Senior Transportation Planner (SAHB) C5-2065 ($3581 - $4352) Transportation Planner (SATB) C5-1884 ($2988 - $3632) Transportation Systems Management Coordinator (Project) (5AV2) C3-1679 ($2434 - $2959) Senior Planning Geologist (SRSJ) C5-2021 ($3426 - $4165) Planning Geologist (SRSB) C5-1923 ($3107 - $3776) Planning Demographer (SRSH) C5-1884 ($2988 - $3632) (NOTE: Any Lump Sum payment made to employees in these classifications for the period 7/1/89 - 9/30/89 in connection with a general management cost of living adjustment effective 10/1/89 shall be computed based on only the amount of the general increase) . 2. Effective October 1, 1989, the classes of Planner I (5AWA) and Planner I - Project (5AW1) are reallocated from 5 step range C5-1444 ($1925 - $2340) to 3 step range C3-1493 ($2229 - $2457) . With the assistance and approval of the Director of Community Development, the Director of Personnel is authorized to develop appropriate classification and compensation mechanisms within the Planner series to allow advance step appointment to persons possessing qualifications above the minimum and accelerated promotion for incumbents demonstrating outstanding performance.
