RECOMMENDED ACTION: ACCEPT U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approval of the $2,766,000 Federal Fiscal Year 1989 Comprehensive Improvement Assistance Program Final Application submitted on July 24, 1989 by the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding in the total of amount of $2,766,000 has been allocated for use by the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa in comprehensive, special purpose and emergency modernization of seven of its low-income housing developments. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: We have been informed that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has approved our final Comprehensive Improvement Assistance Program (CIAP) application for 1989 funding in the total amount of $2,766,000 to be used at the following low-income housing developments: Project Modernization Amount CA011001, Alhambra Terrace, Martinez Comprehensive $1,960,000 CA011002, Los Medanos, West Pittsburg Comprehensive 122,000 CA011005, E1 Pueblo, Pittsburg Comprehensive 290,000 CA011006, Las Deltas, North Richmond Special Purpose 63,000 CA011011, The Hacienda, Martinez Special Purpose 26,000 CA011013, Casa Serena, West Pittsburg Special Purpose 278,000 CA011015, Elder Winds, Antioch Emergency 27,000 IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: None.
