Nelson On Rezoning Application 2841-RZ and Minor Subdivision 2-89 In The Alamo Area. This is the time heretofore noticed by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for hearing on recommendation of the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission on the request ( 2841-RZ) by Harry C. Nelson (applicant and owner) to rezone 3 . 67 acres of land from General Agricultural (A-2) to Single Family Residential (R-20) ; and to consider the appeal by Harry C. Nelson (appellant) from the decision of the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission on the request to rezone land ( 2841-RZ) by Harry C. Nelson (applicant and owner) from General Agricultural (A-2) to Single Family Residential (R-20) and the request by Harry C. Nelson (applicant and owner) to divide 3 . 67 acres into three parcels (MS 2-89) in the Alamo area. Karl Wandry, Community Development Department, presented the staff report on the request and the appeal. He commented on the Planning Commission recommendation for a rezoning to R-40 with a three lot minor subdivision with a requirement for a new map. He presented the staff recommendation to uphold the Planning Commission decision, accept the Environmental documentation prepared for this project as adequate, deny the appeal of the applicant, adopt the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission' s findings and introduce the ordinance giving effect to the rezoning, waive reading and set a date for adoption of the same. The public hearing was opened and the following persons appeared to speak: John B. Maes, 1603 Oak Park Boulevard, Pleasant Hill, Maes and Associates, representing the applicant, commented that the problem at this point was the rezoning. He requested the rezoning to R-20, and listed conformances for the rezoning to R-20. He also commented on having no opposition from surrounding neighbors or nearby property owners. Greg Nelson, 15 Camino Monte Sol, Alamo, commented on the reasons for the requested rezoning to R-20 and the presently configured subdivision. The public hearing was closed. Supervisor Schroder commented on the recommendations of the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission and the staff. He commented on a recent visit to the property. He also commented that he needed further time to consider the matter and discuss the matter further with staff ' and Mr. Nelson. Supervisor Schroder moved to defer the decision on the above matter for one week and place the matter for consideration on the October 10, 1989 Determination Calendar.
