On May 4, 1987 Contra Costa County qualified for Federal funds to
replace the bridge over Marsh Creek on Deer Valley Road. This
project is scheduled to be advertised for contract bids in April
1990. Construction is expected to be completed by August 1990.
Caltrans and the Federal Highway Administration have determined
that this County can be reimbursed for the County' s estimated
Engineering and Right of Way costs for the project.
The County Transportation Committee reviewed this item on
September 25, 1989.
IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION
If this program supplement is not approved, the County will have
to absorb the entire cost of Engineering and Right of Way for
this project.
