IN THE MATTER OF )
Congratulating Hoyle Beasley ) RESOLUTION NO. 89/66
on Being Named Brentwood' s )
"Citizen of the Year" )
WHEREAS, Hoyle Beasley, a resident of Brentwood since 1969,
will be honored by the Brentwood community on February 4, 1989, when
he will be named "Brentwood Citizen of the Year" in recognition of his
outstanding involvement in community affairs;
WHEREAS, Hoyle served as a volunteer fireman for eight
years and then served as city fire commissioner for another ten years;
WHEREAS, he takes an active role in many community events,
including the lighting of the Christmas Tree in the City Park and the
Annual Christmas Parade.
WHEREAS, Hoyle has been an active member of the Lion' s Club;
WHEREAS, as parents of two children, he and his wife
Maureen were active in the Edna Hill School Parents Club and the
Liberty Union High School Band Boosters when their children attended
these schools;
WHEREAS, Hoyle is known in the community as a dedicated and
conscientious community volunteer who always makes himself available
to give assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, does hereby congratulates Hoyle
Beasley on being named Brentwood' s 111989 Citizen of the Year" and
joins the Brentwood community in recognizing him for his outstanding
and dedicated contributions to the community;
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board Members present on
this 31st day of January, 1989.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct
copy of an order entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors
of the date aforesaid.
