RECOMMENDATION Approve Contra Costa County's Transportation Development Act Article 3 Priority List for Bicycle/Pedestrian Path Projects for Fiscal Year 1989/90, and direct the Clerk of the Board to forward it to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) for final approval and allocation of funding effective July 1, 1989. FINANCIAL IMPACT No impact to County General fund, 100 percent funding by MTC. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND The City/County Engineering Advisory Committee (CCEAC) , composed of City, County and Caltrans engineers, MTC, and various transit authorities, met on January 6, 1989 and approved the 1989/90 Bicycle/Pedestrian Priority List for Contra Costa County in accordance with Resolution No. 78/505. CCEAC recommended the Board of Supeirvisors approve the list and forward it to MTC for, funding allocations. On February 2, 1989, the Contra Costa County Mayors' Conference met and approved the 1989/90 Bicycle/Pedestrian Priority List as recommended by CCEAC. The Priority List has been reviewed by the County Transportation Committee. Mr. Robert Warnick, Public Works Director/City Engineer of the City of Orinda and Chairman of the CCEAC TDA Subcommittee, recommends the Board approve the Priority List and forward it to MTC.
