CalifOrnia 94501 November 30,, 1989 Supervisor Tom Torlakson Chairman Board of Supervisors 651 Pine Street Martinez, CA 94553 Dear Supervisor Torlakson: The Oakley Municipal Advisory Council and the Brentwood City Council had a very positive meeting this Monday evening, November 27, 19'89, to discuss regional planning issues and our. mutual boundaries . Much needs to be done in terms of regional coordination and planning in our area for such things as roads, a major regional park, a trail system, and school facilities. In this historic meeting with the Brentwood City Council, we were able to reach consensus on our boundaries . The Oakley Municipal Advisory Council agrees that the boundaries of OMAC and Oakley on its south side should coincide with the existing sphere of influence line (Delta Road westerly to Neroly Road) . The Brentwood City Council agreed and indicated they had no interest or desire to expand their sphere into what we consider .Oakley territory. We would like to ask the Board of Supervisors to affirm our recommendation on this boundary issue and to develop a document that can be voted on and signed, as you recommended, by the chair of the Board of Supervisors and the chair of OMAC and the mayor of Brentwood. Thank you for your consideration fo this matter. Sincerely, Dennis Nunn, Chairman DN:gro cc: ' Mayor Catherine Palmer City of Brentwood
