Internal Operations Committee: 1. Oversight of the Career Development Program. Referred for continuing oversight. 2. Proposal from Social Services Director _ re contracting with private non-profit agencies. Pending conclusion of discussions on overall contract monitoring policies. 3 . Proposal to establish a West Pittsburg Municipal Advisory Council. . Pending completion of staff work by County Counsel and Community Development Department. 4. Distribution of Measure AA funds in the unincorporated area. of Contra Costa County. .Staff has requested more time to complete staff work and get recommendations from individual Board Members. 5. Coordination of paratransit services. Pending report from the Transportation Committee prior to consideration by the Internal Operations Committee. 6. Letter from Central Sanitary District re JPA of water/sanitary districts. Pending further consideration by County Counsel. Letter from Chair, Solid Waste Commission, transmitting' a draft of the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement to establish the Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority. BACKGROUND: The above items are currently on referral to the 1989 Internal Operations Committee, but cannot be disposed of before our Committee is replaced by the 1990 Internal Operations Committee. In some cases more staff work is needed on the item. In some cases we believe that the Internal Operations Committee should continue to provide oversight on the subject matter involved in the referral. In other cases there is simply not enough time on our agenda to hear these items by January 9, 1990.
