RECO14MENDATIONS
1. Acknowledge receipt of the report from the Director of
Personnel on Provisional Appointments which have been made
through November 30, 1989 .
2. Remove this item as a referral to our Committee.
BACKGROUND:
Our Committee has been reviewing the number of Provisional
Appointments which have been made by the Director of Personnel on
a quarterly basis. The attached is the most recent of these
reports. Even though several provisional appointments were made
in November for the Contra Costa Health Plan because of the
absence of a list, it is clear that the Personnel Department is
keeping the number of such appointments to a minimum and is
insuring appropriate sexual and racial distribution in the
appointments which are approved. We are, therefore, pleased with
the progress that has been made and see no further need to
maintain a control on these appointments.
