COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR Public Works Dept. Accounting Flood Control Mapping City of Antioch via PWD MFK:md Ae BO: 9 .t11 DEPUTY CLERK III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND The City of Antioch is planning to purchase aerial photo contour maps covering their city limits and their sphere of influence. The maps will be at a scale of 300-feet to 1 inch. The aerial drawings will reduce our engineering costs on the various studies and projects to be done by the District in this area. The maps are expected to cost approximately $60, 000. It is proposed that the Flood Control Drainage Areas collective reimburse the city for one-sixth of the cost not to exceed $10, 000. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION The District' s engineering costs for work in this area will be higher due to inadequate mapping. `
