SUBJECT: Hearing on Rezoning Application #2797-RZ, Bobby G. Williamson
(Applicant & Owner) to rezone 20. 251 acres of land described as Parcel
B of MS 33-85 and fronts for 732 feet on the south side and for
approximately 1,206 feet on the west side of Eagle Lane, approximately
2,270 feet east of Byron Highway in the Knightsen area, from Heavy
Agriculture District (A-3 ) to General Agriculture District (A-2) .
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Accept the environmental documentation prepared for this
project as being adequate.
2. Approve Rezoning Application #2797-RZ as recommended by the
East County Regional Planning Commission.
3. Adopt the East County Regional Planning Commission' s findings
as set forth in Resolution No. 52-1988 as the determination
for these actions.
4. Introduce the ordinance giving effect to the aforesaid
rezoning, waive reading and set forth date for adoption of
same.

Supervisor Torlakson commented on the staff recommendation to not
approve the rezoning and the East County Regional Planning
Commission' s recommendation to rezone the property.
The public hearing was opened and the following people appeared to
speak:
Don Davis, 145 Eagle Lane, Brentwood, commented on the drainage
in the area and the absorbancy of the ground in the area;
Bobby G. Williamson, 175 Eagle Lane, Brentwood, commented on his
wish to subdivide the land to build homes for his children and that
the four parcels would face the road and he commented on the drainage
in the area.
The public hearing was closed.
Supervisor Torlakson moved approval of the rezoning request as
recommended by the Planning Commission, and urged staff to clarify
policy on allowing or disallowing subdivision relative to Flood
Control concerns.

On recommendation of Supervisor Torlakson, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED
that recommendations 1, 2, 3 , and 4 are APPROVED; and as in
recommendation 4, Ordinance No. 88-85 is INTRODUCED, reading waived,
And November 8, 1988 is set for adoption of same.
