T.rnar iiq—tea l,o:cnpt+.n ul wnln: -- TESTING: Direct clinical duties include the following: Conducts psychodiagnostic 50% * assessments of children & adolescents and adults; supervises interns in preformance of same; conducts play therapy with young children, individual therapy with adolescents and adults, and family therapy. In many cases collateral sessions will be indicated with parents, school personnel, TREATMENT/ Social Services, 'Probation, etc., and the individual will work with these ZIIRAPY. significant individuals in the child's life in a cooperative manner, while 40% maintaining the confidentiality of the patient. In addition to the Central County Mental Health Center, the person will be required to work in several different settings including designated area schools, health clinics, and other related childrens' service agencies as assigned. Also on occasion, OTHEP/ the person may need to see a child and/or his parents in the home. The MISC: individual may also be required to work with children and adolescents at 10% County designated Inpatient Psychiatric facilities, when the plan is to discharge the child or adolescent back to the community. It may be necessary for the individual to be available to see patients during some evening hours. The individual will be required to supervise and to provide training to interns in psychology, social work, and counseling. The person will be assigned to provide supervision and/or consultation to local agencies that serve children. The individual will be required to serve on various teams and clinic cealt- mittees as assigned by the team leader or the clinic director. JUSTIFICATION FM CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST LICENSE FLAG (65) : Conducting Psychological Testing routinely or as needed, including Rorschach Examination; Bender Gestalt, Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children- Revised (WISCR) ; Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale Revised (MIS-fit) ; Wechsler Preschool Primary Scale of Intelligence (VPPSI) ; Draw- A Person (DAP) ; House-Tree-Person-Family Drawings (HTPF) ; Thematic Apperception (TAT) ; Children's Apperception Test (CAT) ; Wide Range Achieve- ment Test (W�2AT) ; and in-depth clinical interviews. Clients are typically multi-problem individuals and families who present diagnostic and behavior management questions to the testing clinician. Scoring and writing Psychological reports. These documents are utilized by the Courts, Attorneys, lay people, and the professionals involved in the child's case. They are extremely sensitive reports in that the recommen- dations generated involve issues of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, complex placement difficulties and proposed interface with Mental Health and ancillary support services for treatment planning. Court Testimony as an expert witness is sometimes required. Interpreting psychological reports. Many children have already been assessed by other professionals. Individual will be required to read and analyze psychological reports and raw data and to consult with staff as to the meaning of such data. * If there are not enough Central County children to require 50% time for testing (administering and scoring tests, writing related psychological reports and findings, and giving interpretive consultation on test material) , then this assignment will include doing testing for children referred from the East County Childrens Services, subject to approval by the Central County Children's Services Supervisor (Grant Nyborny) , so that.at least 50% of this time (i.e., an average of 10 hours per week on an annual basis) will be spent doing psychodiagnostic .testing work.
