RECONIlMENDED ACTION: AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE, on behalf of the County, a first Amendment to the revenue Lease dated August 23, 1983 , with the Richmond Sanitary Service for the premises at 3939 Bissell Avenue, Richmond, to hold over the original Lease on a month-to-month basis at a- higher rent and to adjust the size of the premises, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: This extension represents a revenue increase of $248. 50 per month to the General Services budget unit 0077 . (General Property) . III. REASONS FOR RECOW4ENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: County has considered this site as a possible location for future expansion of County Departments, but no specific projects have been approved. The Richmond Sanitary Service requested that their Lease for this property be extended on a month-to-month basis. This amendment allows for such an extension and offers flexibility to the County regarding possible future needs for this property. RECONMENDATION AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE, on behalf of the County, a second Amendment to the revenue Lease, dated November 19, 1985 and amended March 18, 1986, with the West Contra Costa YMCA for the premises at 2801 Robert Miller Drive, Room 1, Richmond, to provide for an increase in rent, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT Revenues credited to the Health Services Department will increase by $100. 00 per month for the period of August 1, 1988 through October 31, 1990. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND The West Contra Costa YMCA requested that the playground at the George Miller, Jr. Memorial Center West be resurfaced with a protective padding. The County and the YMCA agreed to share in the expenses of this resurfacing, with the YMCA' s share not to exceed $2, 500. 00. The West Contra Costa YMCA' s share of the expenses amounted to $2, 500. 00 and the rent increase called for hereinabove represents amortized payments to reimburse County for this amount.
