The Commission has directed Commission staff, who were loaned to the
Commission by the County, to place the funds with the County because
the County can provide the fiduciary responsibility and fiscal
accountability, which the Commission cannot currently provide due to
its limited assets.
The County Auditor-Controller' s Office has extended a courtesy to the
Commission by maintaining its funds with their office until a formal
account can be established.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Commission will have to remove the monies it has collected and
place it with another public agency who can provide the fiduciary
responsibility and fiscal accountability necessary for the
Partnership to effectively handle its finances.
