SUBJECT; Closed Session
The Chairman announced that a closed session would be
held in accordance with the parameters as set forth in the
attached announcement. In connection with Part B-1 on said
announcement, it was further announced that the Board would discuss
with its legal counsel the threats of litigation by the City of
Pittsburg (and others) about the proposed Revised County Solid
Waste Management Plan.
At 1: 20 P.M. the Board recessed into closed session in
Room 105 of the County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street,
Martinez. The following Board members attended the closed.
session, (but Supervisor Schroder was not present when any solid
waste litigation threat was discussed) :
Supervisor Robert I. Schroder, Chair
Supervisor Tom Powers
Supervisor Nancy C. Fanden.
Supervisor Sunne W. McPeak
Supervisor Tom Torlakson
At 2: 00 P.M. the Board reconvened and continued with the
regular agenda.
CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT - October 18, 1988
(Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in all of its capacities )
A-1 . This Board will hold a closed session with its designated
representatives concerning employee salaries and compensation and to
consider employee appointment, employment, evaluation of
performance, or dismissal .
B-1 . This Board will hold a closed session concerning pending
litigation pursuant to Government Code §54956 . 9, subdivision:
(b) Significant exposure to litigation.
C-1 . This Board will hold a closed session concerning pending
litigation pursuant to Government Code §54956 . 9, subdivision:
(a) Litigation initiated formally. The titles of the
litigation are:
