SUBJECT: Approving Plans and Specifications for Lane Drive
Paving, Project No. 7520-6B8690-88, Concord Area.
Specific Request(s) or Recommendations) & Background &
Justification
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE the Plans and Specifications for the Lane Drive Paving
Project and ADVERTISE for bids to be received on Thursday,
November 17, 1988 at 2: 00 p.m.
DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish the Notice to
Contractors in accordance with Section 20125 of the Public
Contract Code.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The estimated contract cost of the project is $67 ,619 . It is to
be funded by Flood Control Zone 3B - 25%, State Department of
Water Resources - 75%.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
The Chief Engineer has filed with the Board of Supervisors, as
the Governing Body of the Contra Costa County Flood Control and
Water Conservation District, the Plans and Specifications for the
Lane Drive Paving Project.
The general prevailing rates of wages, which shall be the minimum
rates paid on this project, have been filed with the Clerk of the
Board and copies will be made available to any interested party
upon request.

This project has been determined to be in compliance with the
General Plan. The environmental impact report pertaining to the
Upper Pine Creek Project, of which this project is a part, was
reviewed by the Board on January 14, 1986 and found to be
adequate.
