As can readily be seen from the County Administrator' s Office' s memorandum, we have strayed from the balance which was the Board' s original intent. We believe that the Board intended that this balance be restored by the appointment of two women, at least one of whom should be an Hispanic, in order to restore the balance on the Commission. In addition, it is clear that Central County is already heavily represented on the Commission and that future appointments should be made from West County and East County until proper geographic balance is restored. We will return to the Board with specific nominees for appointment once the Human Relations Commission has reported their recommendations to us.
