RECOMMENDATION Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to execute a Consulting Services Agreement with Smith, Gray and Company of Walnut Creek in the amount of $18, 000. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT The cost of $18, 000 will be funded by Road and Area of Benefit funds. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND Smith, Gray and Company will provide consultation and liaison on a variety of projects including the monitoring of the implementation of the State Transportation Improvement Program, Delta Expressway, North Richmond Bypass, E1 Sobrante Area Improvement Plan, and Olympic Boulevard Improvements. The services of Smith, Gray and Company will be provided on an hourly fee basis. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION Failure to retain Smith, Gray and Company could delay the implementation of these needed projects.
