HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01261988 - T.4 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on January 26, 1988_, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson and Schroder NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Hearing On Proposed Amendment to the General Plan in the Clyde Area ( 5-87-CO) . This being the time noticed by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for hearing on the recommendation of. the Contra Costa County Planning Commission on a proposed amendment to the General Plan for the Clyde area by changing the land designation of Multiple Residential to Single Family Residential to reflect a previously approved development of 64 residential lots and expanded park area on 12 acres (Subdivision 6889) , the Recreation Element by designating an enlarged Clyde Park Area with the development of the site between Sussex and Medburn Streets and between Port Chicago Highway to Wellington Avenue, together with removal of the collector street designation on Warwick Street from the Circulation Element of the Clyde General Plan located at the most northerly boundary of Clyde ( 5-87-CO) in the Clyde area. Karl Wandry, Community Development Department, recommended continuing this matter for two weeks to address concerns relative to the impact of this General Plan Amendment and what it would mean to the community. Supervisor Fanden moved for the continuance. Clarence Gribbon, 1828 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Walnut Creek, representing Frederick and Gribbon, commented that there had been many delays in this process and that they had now received an abatement notice on their property which is on the north end of the community, abutting the full length of Warwick Street. He requested that any further delays be as brief as possible and also requested that the Board confirm the Planning Commission action. Supervisor Schroder recommended continuing the hearing to the February 9, 1988 meeting at 10: 30 a.m. and requested Karl Wandry to communicate with the Building Inspection Department and inform them of the process taking place on this property. Therefore, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the hearing on the General Plan Amendment ( 5-87-CO) in the Clyde area is CONTINUED to February 9, 1988 at 10: 30 a.m. ; and the Community Development Department is REQUESTED to communicate with the Building Inspection Department relative to the proposed abatement of the property of Frederick and Gribbon.
