Adopted this Order on January 26 , 1988 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson, Schroder
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

SUBJECT: Child Care Issues
The Board this date adopted Ordinance No. 88-1 providing
for the establishment of child care facilities in connection with
residential and non-residential developments.
In conjunction therewith,. Supervisor Nancy Fanden
commented on the need to monitor the ordinance for the one-year
trial period.
Supervisor Sunne McPeak agreed, and recommended that the
Internal Operations Committee monitor the ordinance for one year.
She further recommended that the Internal Operations Committee meet
with the Child Care Task Force on the implementation of the Child
Care Task Force Report recommendations.
Supervisor Robert Schroder commented on the need for
sick child care, and requested that the Internal Operations
Committee review that issue.
Supervisor Fanden noted that there is a need for child
care provision for the GAIN participants.
Board members being in agreement, IT IS ORDERED that the
Internal Operations Committee is REQUESTED to meet with the Child
Care Task Force on the implementation of Ordinance No. 88-1, and to
monitor the ordinance throughout the next year.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Internal Operations
Committee is REQUESTED to review the issues of sick child care and
the provision of child care for GAIN participants.
