COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR MFK:md 6 .tl Attachments By &LA'4 -J'L,44f DEPUTY CLERK 1 REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND (CONTINUED) : The report covers 43 areas. It represents a very brief, snap shot of each entity. In most cases, the accomplishments are understated due to the fact that some of the entities have been providing infrastructure for many years and many of the improvements have been installed by the development community in lieu of the payment of the fee. These improvements have not been tabulated in order to save staff time. The development fees for road improvements have, in the past three years, provided much needed works in the Tassajara Valley, the Pleasant Hill BARTD Station, and Discovery Bay area. By 1989, over $17 million worth of improvements will be completed or under construction in areas like Oakley, West Pittsburg and Pacheco. During the past five years, through drainage fees, we have seen the installation of over 80, 000 linear feet of storm drain and the acquisition of nine detention basins involving 60 acres of land. This year, an additional $3 million of improvements will be installed solely by drainage fees.
