In its capacity as the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, and of
the Fire Protection Districts and other special districts governed by the
Board, the Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
1 . On January 12, 1988 the Employee Relations Officer submitted
a memorandum advising that wage adjustments for employees in
the classes of Deputy Marshal and Deputy Marshal Sergeant,
parallel to the Deputy Sheriffs' Association settlement, need
to be approved.
2. This Board having thoroughly considered the contents of said
memorandum, the same is approved.
3. This Resolution is effective as of January 1 , 1988.

SUBJECT: Wage Increases for .Deputy Marshals & Deputy Marshal- Sergeants
Your Board approved a 1987-89 Memorandum of Understanding with the Deputy
Sheriffs' Association on December 29, 1987.
By law, the same wage increases are applicable to the classes of Deputy Marshal
and Deputy Marshal Sergeant.
Therefore, it is recommended that the Board adopt the following wage
adjustments, effective January 1 , 1988. It is also recommended that the
Auditor-Controller be directed to compute a lump sum payment for employees in
the classes listed below for the time period of July 1 , 1987 through December
31 , 1987.
