The status of consideration by the other 4 cities is as follows:
the City of Richmond staff is. , currently putting together a staff
report on the issue and will be taking it to their Planning
Commission soon for an advisory report and from there it will be
forwarded to the Council for action. No dates are set, but staff
hopes this can be accomplished within six weeks. Pinole and San
Pablo will consider adoption on February 16, 1988 . Pleasant Hill
has it scheduled for February 22, 1988.
The Board adoption of November 3 ,;1987 directed Supervisors Fanden
and Powers' Offices to arrange -a signing ceremony which would
publicize this agreement. According to members of those Super-
visors staff, they are working jointly on initial arrangements for
such a ceremony. Since final arrangements can' t be made until all
cities have considered the agreement, the specifics haven' t yet
been developed. Those offices have agreed to keep the Board
posted on arrangements as we get closer to the event date.
