DATE: October 20, 1987 SUBJECT: Contingency Fund Increase and Approve of Contract Change Order No. 2 for the Glacier Drive Parking Lot Project in Martinez, No. 4425-6G5376-86. Specific Requests or Recommendations b Background b Justification RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE Contingency Fund increase of $30,000.00 and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute.Contract Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $ 34,890.00 to compensate the contractor, Carone Brothers, Inc. for additional work due to the addition of sewer lines and to pay for increases in contract quantities. FINANCIAL IMPACT• The increase in the Contingency Fund will be funded from Charge Number WH214D (Sheriff' s building) and from the Public Works budget. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: Sewer lines had to be added in the parking lot area to serve the planned new Sheriff' s building and to run the existing sewer around the future. Public Works building. Fill was needed in the future building area. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The lack of approval would preclude the payment to the contractor for work required for the successful completion of the contract. C(" SUBJECT: RELIEF OF CASH SHORTAGE IN ACCOUNT OF DELTA MUNICIPAL COURT SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUNb AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Authorize -relief of cash .shortage of $40 in .account of .Delta Municipal Court as recommended by the. County Auditor=Controller and District` Attorney. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: Efforts were made to recover cash from 'a shortage occurring on September 11, 1987. It was determined that the court clerk with the shortage had probably erroneously credited an account with full payment when only partial payment was actually received. A thorough review of the days receipts and records was carried out. It was determined that further recovery attempts would riot be justified by the amount of the shortage. CONTINUED ON ATTACHMENT..
