SUBJECT: Real Property Services for Contra Costa County Sanita-
tion District No. 7-A
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND
JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
A. APPROVE agreement with Contra Costa County Sanitation
District No. 7-A providing for the District to pay actual
costs plus overhead for County Real Property staff to provide
real property services to the District.
B. AUTHORIZE Chair of the Board to sign said agreement on
behalf of the County.
II. Financial Impact:
None. The District is to pay all costs plus overhead for the
services.
III. Reasons for Recommendations:
It is a benefit to the public for the County to assist other
public agencies when the County has trained staff available
and other smaller agencies do not. The Sanitation Distri
has no professional real property staff to do this wo

IV. Background•
Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 7-A plans to
expand its sewer treatment plant and needs a pumping station
site. Both of these projects require property acquisition.
V. Consequences of Negative Action:
Less efficient government and more cost to the District
because the District would have to hire private contractors
at a much higher cost.
