SUBJECT: Termination Agreement- for Public Defender
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECObQdENDATION(S) & BACKGJMND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Director of General
Services to EXECUTE, on behalf of the County,% a' Termination
Agreement with Desarrollo Familiar for the premises at. .3825
Bissell Avenue; Richmond, for termination of occupancy by the
Public Defender as of September 25, 1987, under - the terms and
conditions more particularly .set forth 'in said• Agreeinent.
II. :Financial Impact: No cost to County. Rental obligation of
$500.00 per month and associated occupancy costs will. -be
eliminated.
III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: When the County
exercised its option to extend the, lease at 3825 Bissell
Avenue-, .Richmond, the Board expressed its ' desire that the
Public Defender move from that- space as soon -as possible. New
temporary space has been leased, and: the Public Defender has
occupied it. The lease for 3825 Bissell Avenue may now be
terminated. ,
