SUBJECT: Approval of Agreement #26-166 with Kaiser Permanente
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I . RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve arid , authorize the Chair to execute on behalf of the
County, Agreement 426-166 with Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and
The Permanente Medical Group , Inc . (collectively referred to as
Kaiser Permanente) effective August 1 , 1987 through July 31 ,
1989 for the provision of clinical experience in obstetrics and
gynecology for Merrithew Memorial Hospital Residents .
II . FINANCIAL IMPACT :
None .
III . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND :
Approval of this Agreement formalizes the relationship between
the Kaiser Permanente and our Family Practice Training Program.
This rotation provides the Residents with first-hand high risk
OB experience .
This Agreement does not have any relationship with the joint
Contra Costa-Solano County prenatal clinic .
The insurance and indemnification provisions in the Agreement
have been reviewed and approved. by. the Risk Management Division
of the County Administrator ' s Office . The Agreement was pre-
pared by Kaiser Permanente. and has been approved as to legal
form by the County Counsel ' s Office .
