SUBJECT: Proposed Establishment of Fire Protection Facilities and
Administration Fees for East Diablo, Oakley, Riverview and
Rodeo-Hercules Fire Protection Districts.
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, California
RESOLVES THAT:
1. This Board has received requests from the East Diablo,
Oakley, Riverview and Rodeo-Hercules Fire Protection Districts asking
that development fees be established in said Districts. The requests
were referred to the Director of Community Development who has now
reported to this Board that said requests constitute notice of
findings reports complying with the requirements of Ord. Code Sec.
818-8. 204.
2. A public meeting shall be held before this Board on
February 10 , 1987 at 2 : 30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers,
Room 107, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez ,
California, to consider the findings, report and other data submitted
by the Fire Chiefs of the East Diablo, Oakley, Riverview and
Rodeo-Hercules Fire Protection Districts, that said Districts '
facilities are overextended, and any oral or written presentations
that may be made at that meeting. At the conclusion of the hearing,
the Board will consider whether to establish fire protection
facilities fees and an administration fee in the service areas of the
aforesaid fire protection districts.
3 . The Clerk of the Board is DIRECTED, at least 14 days
prior to the meeting, to cause a Notice of this hearing to be
published one time in the Antioch Daily Ledger and the West Contra
Costa Times, newspapers of general circulation.
4. The Clerk of the Board is DIRECTED, at least 14 days
prior to the meeting, to mail a copy of the Notice to any interested
party who has filed a written requst for mailed notice with the Clerk
of the Board or with the Fire Portection District, as provided by
Government Code Sec. 54986 (a) and 54992(a) .
5. The Fire Chiefs of the aforesaid Fire Protection
Districts are DIRECTED, at least 14 days prior to the meeting, to file
data indicating the proposed fees, the cost or estimated cost of
providing the fire protection facilities in the service area and
anticipated revenue sources as required by Government Code Sec. 65962 .
6 . The Clerk of the Board is DIRECTED, upon request, to
make the filed data available for public inspection.
