Home My WebLink AboutMINUTES - 01061987 - T.1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY Adopted this Order on January 6, 1987 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson, Powers NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Reorganization of the Board of Supervisors for 1987 This being the time for the annual reorganization of the Board of Supervisors, Chairman Tom Powers announced that he would accept nominations for Board Chair for 1987. Supervisor Robert I . Schroder nominated Supervisor Sunne Wright McPeak. The nomination was seconded by Supervisor Fanden. There being no further nominations, Chairman Powers declared the nominations closed. IF IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that Supervisor McPeak is ELECTED Chair of the Board of Supervisors for 1987 . Chairman Powers then announced that he would accept nominations for Vice Chair for the ensuing year. Supervisor Fanden nominated Supervisor Robert I . Schroder for Vice Chair, and Supervisor Torlakson seconded the nomination. There being no further nominations, the Chairman declared the nominations closed. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that Supervisor Schroder is ELECTED Vice Chair of the Board of Supervisors for 1987. The Honorable Gary E. Strankman, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court, administered the Oath of Office to Supervisor McPeak as Chair and Supervisor Schroder as Vice Chair of the Board of Supervisors for 1987 . Supervisor Powers declared the Board reorganized, and Supervisor McPeak assumed the Chairmanship.
