vote:

SUBJECT: In the Matter Of Filing Statement Releasing Possible Lien

RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS Contra Costa County has a judgment lien in the
amount of $3,500 recorded in the State of Washington against one
Kenneth Pederson;
WHEREAS, when this judgment lien was recorded, it
automatically became a lien on real property;
WHEREAS certain real property located in Pierce County,
Washington, to which the judgment lien may attach is the subject
of a quiet title action in the Superior Court of the County of
Pierce of the State of Washington in which Contra Costa County is
named as a defendant;
WHEREAS Mr. Pederson may be a relative of one or more of the
defendants in this action and thus may have some interest through
inheritance in the real property in question;
r WHEREAS the real property in question was sold to the
plaintiffs in the quiet title action when Pierce County,
Washington, foreclosed its lien for unpaid property taxes;
WHEREAS there were no excess proceeds for distribution to
other lienors after the lien for unpaid property taxes was
satisfied.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that County Counsel file a
statement with the Superior Court of the County of Pierce of the
State of Washington releasing any lien Contra Costa County may
have had on the real property in question.
