HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 07241990 - 90/4851054 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on July 24, 1990 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisory PowerF , Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson, Fanden NOES:None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None In the Matter of Increasing The Per Diem Rate for Official ) Resolution No. 90/ 485 Court Reporters. The Superior Court Executive Officer and the Municipal Court Administrator have jointly demonstrated that a market inequity exists between the Court systems of the County and its surrounding jurisdictions in per diem compensation for official Court Reports; and Because of this inequity, the Superior Courts and Municipal Courts have experienced increasing difficulty in competing for the services of available certified court reporters to provide vacation and sick leave coverage, serve with assigned and pro tem judges and service the increase in capital cases; and The Superior and Municipal Courts have requested that the per diem rate for official Court Reporters be adjusted upward from its current level which is the 1st step hourly equivalent + 5% paid full-time court reports to the 4th step hourly equivalent +5% paid full time court reporter; NOW THEREFORE THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLVES THAT effective July 1, 1990, the following rates of pay are in effect for the class of Court Reporter- Per Diem (JPS3) Full Day: $190.46 Half Day: $100.00 I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
