This year, the Mt. Diablo Hospital* Foundation is honoring- Jerry
and Dolores Fitzpatrick as Man and Woman of the Year for their.
many local and national contributions to various .ch_arities and
civic organizations.
Fitzpatrick Chevrolet established business in Concord in the
1940s, and the Fitzpatricks have always been civicly active
citizens of Contra Costa. They were married in 1944 after Jerry
graduated from St.' Mary' s College and Dolores .graduated from Holy
Names, and both have continued to help with the development of
their alma maters.
Jerry been .the director of numerous organizations. . He is a
selfless, dedicated leader and well thought of by his co
philanthropists.. Dolores is a leading force in the fundraising
efforts of the Mt. Diablo Hospital Foundation.', Her successful
fundraisers have given the hospital the financial backing
necessary to improve and expand the facility. We. are extremely
fortunate to have benefitted from their endless generosity and
genuine love of 'their fellow citizens and commend their
tremendous efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that the Board of Supervisors
declares November 17, 1990, as JERRY AND DOLORES FITZPATRICK DAY
in Contra Costa County for their contributions to the well-being
of our community and congratulates them for being chosen as Man
and Woman of the Year.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON September 25, 1990, by a unanimous vote of
the Board members present.
