ATTESTED: June 22, 2010 David Twa, BY:June McHuen , Deputy RECOMMENDATION(S): HEARING to consider any objections or protests to the Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 6 (SD-6) Annual Report and Ordinance No. 19, as filed by the Public Works Director. The Annual Report contains a description of each parcel of real property receiving sewer service within Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 6 and the amount of the levy against each parcel for Fiscal Year 2009/2010; and ACCEPT the Annual Report; and RECOMMENDATION(S): (CONT'D) ADOPT Ordinance No. 19; and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to file certified copies of this Board Order, the Annual Report and Ordinance No. 19 with the Auditor-Controller in accordance with the provision of Health & Safety Code Section 5473.4; and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish Ordinance No. 19 pursuant to Section 3 of the ordinance; and DIRECT the Auditor-Controller to levy the annual sewer service charges on the tax roll for Fiscal Year 2010/2011. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact on the County General Fund. County Services to SD-6 are funded entirely by annual sewer service charges obtained from the users of the sewer system, in accordance with the Health and Safety Code Section 5473. BACKGROUND: The proposed annual sewer service charges are needed to fund and maintain sewer service within Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 6. On June 8, 2010, the Board of Supervisors accepted filing of the Fiscal Year 2010/2011 Annual Report for SD-6, adopted Ordinance No. 19 prescribing the annual sewer service charges, and fixed June 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., in the Board Chambers, as the time and place for a public hearing. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without the Board of Supervisors’ approval, the Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 6 would have to reduce or eliminate sewer service or raise the necessary revenue by other means. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: CLERK'S ADDENDUM CLOSED the hearing; ACCEPTED the Annual Report; ADOPTED Ordinance No. 19; DIRECTED the Clerk of the Board to file certified copies of this Board Order, the Annual Report and Ordinance No. 19 with the Auditor-Controller in accordance with the provision of Health & Safety Code Section 5473.4; DIRECTED the Clerk of the Board to publish Ordinance No. 19 pursuant to Section 3 of the ordinance; and DIRECTED the Auditor-Controller to levy the annual sewer service charges on the tax roll for Fiscal Year 2010/2011.
