HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02031987 - S.1 S. 1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on February 3 , 1987,by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Torlakson and McPeak NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Schroder ABSTAIN: None ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBJECT: Joint meetings with Solano and Alameda Counties on Growth Management, Transportation Systems, water policies, hospitals, the I-580/I-680 corridor and other mutual concerns. The Board members discussed the need for meetings with the Solano County and Alameda County Boards of Supervisors to discuss the impact of growth on the transportation system, water polcies, hositals, the I-580/I-680 corridor general plan, and other areas of mutual concern. The County Administrator submitted draft proposed agendas for each of the joint meetings and requested Board members to submit any suggested changes to him. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED THAT the County Administrator is REQUESTED to arrange joint meetings with Solano County and Alameda County Boards of Supervisors to discuss the impact of growth on the transporation system, water policies, hospitals, the I-580/I-680 corridor general plan and other areas of mutual concern. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT D. J. Smith, the County' s transportation lobbyist, is REQUESTED to appear and report on his recommendation for the proposed expansion of the Benicia-Martinez Bridge. Supervisor Fanden requested that Burch Bachtold of CALTRANS be invited to attend the meeting when the above issues are being discussed. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT the Transportation Committee is REQUESTED to review the above issues.
