HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 05221990 - 90/315BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION NO. 90/315 Commending Matthew Greenwood on Attaining the Rank of Eagle Scout WHEREAS, Matthew Greenwood was a member of Cub Scout Pack #366 from 1982 to 1985 and has been a member of Boy Scout Troop #366 from 1985 through the present; and WHEREAS, Matthew earned the St. Agnes Parvuli Dei Catholic Religious Award while a Cub Scout; and WHEREAS, Matthew has been elected to Scouting organizations such as the Wolfboro Pioneers and the Order of the Arrow; and WHEREAS, Matthew organized' and supervised the rebuilding, repairing and replacement of the convent fence at St. Agnes in Concord with the assistance of the members of Boy Scout Troop 366; and . WHEREAS, Matthew is currently a sophomore at Concord High School and is maintaining a 4.0 grade point average and is active in the California Scholastic Federation; and. WHEREAS, Matthew is involved in Concord High's athletic program, including cross-country, wrestling and varsity swimming; and WHEREAS, Matthew is involved in the activities of his church, St. Agnes, in the Confirmation Program, as an Altar Server, and in building houses for the poor in Mexico on spring break; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, does hereby congratulate and commend Matthew Greenwood on his attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout and commend him for his involvement in scholastics, sports and church and his contributions to the betterment of our community and that of those less fortunate; PASSED.by unanimous vote of the Board Members present on this 22th day of May, 1990.
