HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 05081990 - 90/2801' IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Proclaiming ) May 7-13 , 1990 RESOLUTION NO. 90/280 Working Women' s Week" WHEREAS;women employed by Contra Costa County total sixty percent of the work force of over 6,600 employees, and WHEREAS; working women have become, like working men, the backbone of the U.S. economy, and WHEREAS; working women have made the difference in helping families maintain family living standards; and WHEREAS; there continues to be a need for national, state, and local programs to improve the economic, physical, mental health, and legal rights of working women. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors proclaim the week of May 7 through May 13 , 1990 as "Working Women' s Week" in Contra Costa County. PASSED AND ADOPTED ON May 8, 1990, by unanimous vote of the Board members present.
