MICHAEL WALFORD, CHIEF ENGINEER DATE: February 3, 1987 SUBJECT: Approve the Issuance of a Purchase Order for Utility Relocations for the Upper Pine Creek Project, Project No. 7520-6B8689, Concord Area. Specific Requests or Recommendations & Background & Justification RECOMMENDED ACTION: AUTHORIZE the issuance of a purchase order to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company for the relocation of three gas lines in Concord. FINANCIAL IMPACT• The amount of the purchase order is $60,000 which is partially reimbursable by the State Department of Water Resources. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The purchase order provides for the relocation of three gas lines which are in conflict with the Corps of Engineers' Upper Pine Creek Project. Relocation of the gas lines outside the construction limits will provide increased safety and ensure continued service to utility customers during construction.
