HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 05011990 - 90/2503/ IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Proclaiming May 13 - 19, 1990, as TOURISM WEER ) RESOLUTION NO. 90/ 250 in Contra Costa County The travel and tourism industry is extremely important to the citizens of Contra Costa, contributing to our employment, economic prosperity, international trade, peace, understanding, and goodwill. Each of us benefits from the effects of tourism. It substantially enhances our personal growth and education. Tourism also promotes intercultural understanding and appreciation of the geography, the history, and the people of Contra Costa. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors proclaims May 13 - 19, 1990, as TOURISM WEER in Contra Costa County in recognition of the significance of the travel and tourism industry to the enhancement of trade, peace, understanding, and goodwill to the citizens of Contra Costa County, we call upon the people in the county to observe this week with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
